Most projectors on the market use the reflection principle of light source → display screen → imaging as the design concept. Therefore, the imaging brightness of a projector is directly related to the brightness of its light source. The stronger the brightness power of the light source, the less the brightness will be lost during the projection process, so that the final imaging effect will be better. However, the higher the power of the light source, the higher its own heat output. Correspondingly, if the heat dissipation treatment is not in place, the burning problem will be unavoidable, reducing the overall product life.

In the early years, the technology of domestic projectors was not yet mature, and manufacturers would give priority to heat dissipation and cost issues when producing optical machines. In order to reduce the cost of projectors, optical machines were designed based on the open design principle, giving priority to heat dissipation issues. The open type means that the overall structure of the optical machine is exposed to the air, and the operation and air circulation of its own cooling system are used to quickly reduce the temperature of optical machine components and reduce the burning problem caused by overheating.

The openable optical machine also has its own disadvantages: during the heat dissipation process of the optical machine that has been exposed to the air for a long time, the floating dust, particles and various floating objects that are not easy to be detected by the naked eye will inevitably be stuck in the projection imaging system. This defect is not obvious at the beginning of the product use, but after 3 or 4 months of continuous use, the adhesion of various pollutants is aggravated. The most intuitive performance is that the final image is gray, and the noise of heat dissipation is more harsh. All this is due to the pollutants blocking the light source, display screen, cooling fan and other areas, leading to the reduction of light transmittance and more difficult heat dissipation. After less than half a year of use, it is not uncommon to burn the machine, blur the image and have black spots.

In order to solve these problems, optical machine manufacturers have also used double filter screen, pleated filter screen and other solutions. This measure has indeed improved the dust-proof effect of open optical machine significantly, but it requires frequent and clear replacement of filter screen to achieve long-term dust-proof, which has a significant impact on the use experience.

In addition, there are problems such as light leakage in the open optical machine design. When projecting in a dark environment, the machine body will have a light overflow, and the overall use experience will be greatly affected. The product looks more affordable.
